Dating Do's and Don'ts

Regardless what someone has today; two consecutive promotions in a year, a nice car, and a home, the grass is always greener on the other side. Some may want a relationship but there is not enough time. Maybe this makes people wonder if one is really happy or not? People often have to sacrifice their private lives in the bargain in order to gain professionally. There are millions of young students, working professionals who are happy to be single, at least for now.

Going on dates and meeting up new people is the only way one can get into a relationship. But surprisingly, people are so busy with their hectic work schedules that they don't get the time to socialize. Most of the people expect to bump into their potential dating partners at their workplaces or areas of study.

However dating cannot be much of a problem, provided the individuals follow the dating advice. Dating is an art that needs to be mastered. And the only way to master it is by practicing it regularly. The only way to master it is by going on dates frequently. Sounds tempting, right?

But there are a few do's and don'ts which need to be followed when out on a date. These guidelines differ both for men and women. When out on a date, a man needs to be courteous enough to pick up his date and drop her safely to her home after the date is over. In fact, it is the rule of thumb to start the first date by meeting in a public place. It makes more sense to do this for several reasons; it's safer, it's easy to leave if the date is not going so well, and no strings are attached. For example, if a guy picks a girl up at home for a date then he is obligated to take her home, even if the date is not going well. If you drive to a neutral location you can politely excuse yourself and leave.

It is generally expected out of men to be polite and courteous enough and behave like a perfect gentleman. No woman would prefer to go out with a guy who tries to be macho all the time only to ignore her. Also, he must listen to her attentively. While out on a date, any woman will be flattered by a guy who pays complete attention to her during the complete duration of the date, rather than checking out other girls or diverting his attention to his surroundings.

Similarly, for a girl it is advisable to behave well and not act too clingy. In a recent survey done on dating, most of the guys revealed that they would love to go out on a date with a woman who was independent and far more confident of herself rather than an extremely pretty but clingy woman who was insecure of herself.
